Tim McLoone's Asbury Grille

Formerly Howard Johnson's and the Salt Water Beach Cafe, the ground floor of the restaurant at 1200 Ocean Ave. in Asbury Park is now known as McLoone's Asbury Grille and is moving forward with the motto of "new year -- new look -- new menu."

Located on the floor below Tim McLoone's Supper Club and just a stone's throw from the Paramount Theatre, Convention Hall and the Wonder Bar, the Asbury Grille boasts a raw bar, steaks and an array of specialty burgers including the Inside-Out -- an angus patty stuffed with bleu cheese and topped with strips of smoked bacon -- and the Jersey Shore -- an angus patty topped with a slice of pork roll, ketchup and American cheese.

Like the Supper Club, the Asbury Grille offers Crabcakes for a Cause, meaning that each time an order of Crabcakes is purchased $1 is donated to the Asbury Park Mounted Police Unit.

The restaurant also boasts a happy hour from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday with half-priced appetizers and $5 martinis.
