Executive chef Carol McGavin-Maxwell calls Baker Boys a 1950s retro bakery specializing in Americana confections. "I'm trying to channel childhood desserts from the '50s and '60s," she said. The kitchen is open so customers can see Maxwell in the kitchen baking the crowd favorites, which include her carrot cake made with mascarpone cream cheese frosting.
