Upscale with a rustic feel, Synaxis at the Shore is a Greek restaurant that has an expansive dining and drinking space, with bars in the front and back and live entertainment on weekends. The menu includes crab with lentils and aioli, Greek meatballs and a variety of spreads. There also are offerings for seafood lovers: The restaurant has a raw bar, and whole fish -- displayed swimming in a tank -- are ordered by the pound and served with simplicity: just a splash of olive oil and lemon. Greek desserts, including ekmek (shredded-pastry nests with pudding) and galaktoboureko (semolina-custard pie), round out the menu.
