Open since 1993, Red's Lobster Pot has been dubbed the "quintessential Jersey Shore seafood restaurant" by visitors and critics alike. Its lobster is the freshest you'll find -- straight from the boat to your plate (cleaned and cooked, of course). While dining, take in the waterfront view from the restaurant's deck seating, which is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Early bird specials are offered.

The restaurant is small but well known to draw crowds, especially in the summer. Red's doesn't accept parties of more than 5 inside, but it does have several tables outside on the deck. You can sit and watch the fishing boats dock while eating the fresh seafood they just caught! Start with the grilled clams or the cajun peel-and-eat shrimp and move on to the best lobster in Jersey. There is usually a wait in the summer but it is worth your time.

If you ride your bike down, you can take a dollar off your bill for each person for being environmentally friendly.

There is also an early bird special in the off-season (before Memorial Day and after Labor Day) between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. with 20% off the entire menu excluding lobsters and dinner specials.
