For what might be the Jersey Shore's most unique breakfast experiences, step inside My Kitchen Witch in Monmouth Beach.
Offering an array of "enchanting" menu selections such as the Bedknobs and Broomsticks Omelette (with mushroom, grape tomatoes and swiss) the Hocus Pocus Omelette (with spinach, olives, red pepper and goat cheese) and Glinda the Good Witch (griddled multi-grain bread topped with wilted greens, poached eggs and feta served with fresh fruit), the restaurant is owned and operated by "Head Witch" Karyn Jarmer.
Jarmer, a New Jersey native, began her food career, age 15, at Schneider's German-American restaurant in Avon By-The-Sea. For the past 10 years, Karyn has been the sole proprietor and chef for New York City-based Bedrock Catering, where she's fed such names as Regis Philben, Kelly Ripa, Brittany Spears, Faith Hill, Tom Selleck, Ellen DeGeneres, Rachel Ray, Jennifer Beals, George and Barbara Bush, John Kerry, Al Gore, Joe Lieberman, Bill Clinton, Barbara Streisand, Madonna, Hillary Clinton, Jennifer Lopez and Tom Cruise.
She's also provided meals for "The Apprentice Live Finale," "The Olympic Torch Relay" in Times Square, "Survivor's Grand Finale", "America's Next Top Super Model," "Project Runway", "Man Hunt," "How Clean is Your House," "Surprise by Design," "Life and Style," "All My Children," Sony Studios, MTV and Nickelodeon, "The Ricki Lake Show," "The Maury Show," "WABC News" and "Chopped."
