Opening in 2004, the Blue Bay Inn, located in the Atlantic Highlands, is just a 40 minute ferry ride into New York City and a 10 minute ride the beaches of Sandy Hook. This boutique hotel is a great weekend getaway even in the winter months with a movie theater, playhouse, restaurants, shops and more located within walking distance. Seastreak Ferry is just two blocks away if you want a livelier night in the city.
Room prices aren't cheap, ranging from $129 to $299 (costs are down to reflect the recession), but are worth it with an excellent staff, complimentary breakfast and unique room designs.
Located in the lobby is the Blue Bay Inn Lounge, open every Friday and Saturday nights featuring live music with a large dance floor and light fare provided by the Inn's restaurant Copper Canyon.
