"Oh, God, it's a lot of different sounds (laughs). You know, it's all the stuff all the guys, Bruce (Springsteen), all of us, grew up listening to and playing.
"In the early part of everybody's career, you do cover stuff, and to me it's all Beatles and (the Rolling) Stones and Motown and the whole San Francisco thing -- it's a combination of all of those things. Southside (Johnny Lyon and the Asbury Jukes) -- I guess, I don't know how you can define it -- but they got the Motown feel, and there was a lot of that going on."
