More than two hours into the Hope Concert IV Monday night, Jon Bon Jovi said the words many in the crowd at Red Bank's Count Basie Theatre had been waiting to hear all night.

"Do I hear that sound?" he asked. He received the tried-and-true response: a sea of "Bruce!" calls from the expectant audience.
