Clearwater Festival 2008

Clearwater comes to Asbury Park

A trio of vastly different three-piece bands -- the Mayor's Players, Mean Venus and Almost There -- kicked off the 33rd annual Clearwater Festival, held in Sunset Park in Asbury Park on August 16 and 17.

The festival, which is dedicated to preserving the environment, also featured food vendors, booths where visitors could learn about political and environmental causes and live music from Shore-related artists such as former Styx guitarist Glen Burtnik, Bob Burger and Pat Guadagno.
