Since opening in 1974, The Stone Pony has not only played host to legendary musical acts such as The Ramones, The New York Dolls and Bruce Springsteen, it has become legendary itself, serving as a vital link to Asbury Park's past and remaining a must-play venue for local bands on the rise. With regular performances by artists from virtually every genre in both the intimate club and the open-air Summerstage area behind the club, there usually is something for everyone at the Pony, and there are few more fitting places to catch a show at the Shore.
