Red Bank-based singer-songwriter Rob Dye hosts the weekly open mike night on Sundays at Jamian's in Red Bank.
Originally started by Dye and George Ott at the nearby Downtown Café in the late 90s, the Red Bank institution has featured surprise appearances such as Bon Jovi's Richie Sambora and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers drummer Steve Ferrone.
Now hosted by Jamian's, the open mike night features $5 burgers and drinks as well as $3 drafts while you close out your weekend right. Sign-ups start at 6 p.m. and showtime is from 8 p.m. to 12:30 a.m. Acoustic performers are encouraged from 8 to 9:30 p.m, and full-band jams from 9:30 p.m. to close.
