A sleazy jock in "Whatever It Takes" (2000)
High school was good for Franco on TV, but not so much at the movies. He co-starred with then-girlfriend Marla Sokoloff as the jerk in this teen spin on “Cyrano de Bergerac.” It wound up near the bottom of the classics-adapted-for-high-school pack that started with “Clueless” and extended through the likes of “Cruel Intentions” and “10 Things I Hate About You.”
