Before becoming a successful actor, Mac was a celebrated stand-up comedian and was one of four comics featured in Spike Lee's concert documentary (along with Cedric the Entertainer, D.L. Hughley and Steve Harvey). Mac famously was the only one who didn't go on to star in a sit-com for the WB or UPN.
