Wife convinced me (is making me) go to The Wine Loft. Seems like a great open bar deal and I'm happier now that they have a TV.

Sure, the characters in Jersey Shore are moronic. But so what? The majority of the locals down there are idiots, as well. It's a free country and people can watch whatever the hell they want to. If you don't like what you're seeing, you have the power in your own hands - it's called a remote control. I think a reality series about the inhabitants of central and south jersey would do a lot more damage to New Jersey’s reputation than “JERSET SHORE” does. The southern part of this state is largely inhabited by Swamp Yankees , Pineys and various assorted Tailer Trash . Visiting some parts of South Jersey , one might think they have somehow stumbled into a scene from “Deliverance” !

LoveAP wrote about Plan B Restaurant

Being as this restaurant is in swanky up and coming Asbury Park, I had high expectations. I'd already seen the menu and was interested in what was on it. However, when we got there, the service was atrocious! The manager or owner sat at the bar socializing the entire time, as customers sat, unhelped, for quite some time. His server was obviously lacking, nonefficient, and in the weeds. I had the menu for over 25 minutes before our order was taken! In addition, the server did not ask to get us a drink, and walked away before we could ask him for further assistance. I felt unwelcomed there. In addition, once the food was served, I was highly disappointed. For the price, the serving is so little. Not a very good value at all. After finishing eating, we waited for a very long time for our check... keep in mind the restaurant was not that busy. I felt like what we paid for was just to sit around... and wait. This restaurant comes highly unrecommended.

I went here twice and the two times i have been there I got harrassed and started with by the bouncers or there red neck security. The first time i was invited there by a friend who worked there. The bouncer i guess liked her and was bothering me all night. so i left and my friend quit that week. The next time i went in there, i was getting off work, stopped in for a beer to meet a friend who lived close by and the bouncer stated i was to drunk do be drinking, when i didnt even have a drink, he took my beer and before i could explain i have three red neck bald bouncers shoving out the door. I work in the biz and im out all the time and never have been treated like that. the reputation of the bar perceeds its self. It seems they need to gut the employemnet staff and start from scratch. because i bad mouth this place due to my expeirence every chance i get. If your looking for great bar fights, fat over weight red neck bouncers who think there in road house i give this place five stars

I think that the bartenders and the people at Spicys are great. I have been going there for years. the food is good, the pizza could be better but then its more of a mexican style place. I think the entertainment like Rich Myer is awesome and is a good night out. The Bartenders Their such as Alyson, Whitney, Jenna, Christina and my all time favorite Amy are awesome. I cant imagine any one writing a bad review or having anything bad to say about any of them. They are all professional and have ton of expeirence. So i find it hard to believe the last review. I think happy hour might have started a little to early for that person, but dont take my word for it, just stop in one night and have a good time.

The Down Beach Deli is my favorite place to eat when I am down the shore. No matter what I am in the mood for there is something on the menu that will hit the spot. Not only do I eat there on a regular basis for breakfast, lunch or dinner, but I also have them cater my family events at the house when I have a group of people pop in on me. Be sure to put them on your list of places to eat and print out a menu and keep it on hand when you need to feed a bunch of people in a hurry.‎

I really really wanted this place to be good. When they first opened, I was one of their first customers and was very excited to try the food. Totally disappointed. Since then, the two boneheads working the front door, who have seen my face about thirty times, always mess up my reservation/don't say hello like they recognize me/make me wait/seat walk-ins. I have spent a lot of money in there, but this is the last straw, I'm done. The service is literally a joke, right down to the bartenders, it's really unbelievable. Total disappointment. :(

I saw this band in Woodbridge that was out of this world, they had the crowd on their feet dancing the whole time I was there. Look out for this band they are up and coming. Their name is SMOKE & MIRRORS and they got this girl singer that was awesome. I think their website is www.smokeandmirrorsband.com.

joeshmoe commented on On a Tangent: MTV's 'Jersey Shore'

The show is the exact reason why New Jersey gets such a bad rap across the country. Anyone who lives at the beach knows this is not what it's like. Sure, maybe in the summer if you are hanging in Belmar or Seaside. I am so sick and tired of the media's sterotype of New Jersey as this guido, mob enclave. That represents about 5% of the state. First Housewives of New Jersey, now this? A joke and an embarrasemtn. They should do a show called The Real New Jersey, Have it set in Asbury Park and focus on our music scene which is one of the best in the country and stop fussing around with all this guido, italian mobster bull crap.

BroadwayBill commented on On a Tangent: MTV's 'Jersey Shore'

Is everybody missing the point that the show is called "Jersey Shore" because that's where it's set, not where the cast is from? There's only one of these people here actually from New Jersey - the rest are typical New Yorkers who take over are beaches every summer whether there's a camera around or not.

i think this show is a bunch of garbage along with the trash who are on it. I cant stand those type of people and they arent even from the jersey shore!!! go back to New york and take your trashy show with it!! go f yourself MTV

ReneeErnst commented on On a Tangent: MTV's 'Jersey Shore'

I agree with some of the comments: the show is inappropriately named. But I have to say it is an accurate portrayal of a major group of people who visit the Shore in the summer. Unless MTV makes it clearly known that this is not what the Jersey Shore population is like than the title is misleading and could be detrimental to New Jersey as a whole. I am not originally from New Jersey but have been living here for a couple years now and I have to say that people who aren't from the north east coast have no clue what NJ is like, let alone the Shore and will jump to conclusions about its inhabitants based on this show. While I understand that the economy is dependent upon visitors in the summer, you can't help but be offended by the behavior of people like the cast of "Jersey Shore." NJBorn, I like where your head is at with the title.
