With an outdoor Tiki bar and deck featuring a raw bar that includes Cajun peel-and-eat shrimp, clams and oysters, you could expect to hear the sound of crashing waves at Woody's Roadside Tavern -- except that it's located in the decidedly un-beachy town of Farmingdale. Along with the outdoor summer eats and other rotating specials, Woody's usually has something to keep you busy, said owner Ken Wester. There's a bi-monthly motorcycle and classic car night, karaoke every Thursday and live music on Fridays and Saturdays.
