The Ugly Mug was established in Cape May in 1949 and is a landmark on the Washington Street Mall. Inside, countless mugs hang from the walls, belonging to members of the Ugly Mug Club. Each August on the last Sunday, the members gather and drink a beer. Meantime, one can fill up on any number of sandwiches and burgers or seafood entrees on the menu. In season, cover bands perform nightly in the bar.
